American Boat Top Company has been making custom marine canvas products in Downriver Michigan for over 50 years. Red Bickerstaff started the company in 1961 in Wyandotte, Michigan. In the 70’s, Red moved his business to Trenton and again to Gibraltar in the 80’s. Finally, American Canvas landed in Flat Rock, where we are currently located. American Boat Top has made itself known Downriver by guaranteeing all work and maintaining 100% customer satisfaction.
All of our custom tops, covers, and cushions our made at our Flat Rock, MI location. We start by making a custom frame for your boat. Then, we fit the canvas to the frame and assemble it using water-resistant zipper and hardware. Our very talented staff makes the process quick and efficient, so you can have your newly covered boat back as soon as possible.
